Hi all,



 I have been asked to develop competencies for Bd 5, 6 and 7 renal techs. Rather than re-invent the wheel I wondered if anyone had these already or could point me in the direction of a NOS/KSF etc document that would help me.  



Also is there any update on teh ART Training scheme - is it running?

Hi Gareth, you should have received a pack of information recently containing the NOS we developed and all the associated relevant documentation looking at knowledge and skill levels. You should also have received our Scope of Practice document and a draft copy of the Guidelines for Best Practice for renal technologists. Hope that all helps.



Regarding the Training Scheme, yes it is running and currently we have 2 students on the programme. Andy is the Registrar of the scheme and we are keen to accept new applicants onto the scheme.

Thanks David - I did indeed receive the docs and have passed them on to the appropriate people within the RFH.
